It’s more common than you’d think that children have a meltdown at a family portrait session. Most of the sessions with toddlers that you see in my portfolio involved some sort of chaos during the session. In reality, a 1 year old will give me better portraits if I let them do their thing. So that’s exactly what I do. I let the child be themselves and I aim to photograph them as they are.
